Weekend in Dallas

Chad and I spent the weekend in Dallas.  It was an emotional weekend to say the least, as we were visiting my very sick grandmother Mimi in a skilled nursing facility.  It was so great to see her and I loved our time with her, but it was also so hard.

In the middle of all of that, we were able to catch up with some dear friends and I am so grateful for the time we had with them.  Jonathan and Tammy let us stay in their beautiful home, and Tammy cooked some amazing pinterest recipes for us.  Pinterest for the win-- as always!!  We had a blast watching the Aggies BTHO the Red Raiders with Tammy, Jonathan, and my red raider sister Hannah.  Take that sis =D.

We were also able to meet up with some other friends from college-- Bonnie and her husband Cody (and little Caiden who is a hoot) and Kelley, minus her husband Trent because he was coaching a football game.  We had dinner with them & Jonathan and Tammy (and my fam) at Logan's Roadhouse.  It means so much to me that they would drive all that way to meet up and I loved getting to catch up with them.

We also got to see Angela and Justin, friends from Parkhills who moved to the Dallas area this summer for Justin's job.  We had AMAZING cheese fries and burgers with them at Snuffers, and I so appreciate them driving a long ways to meet up with us too.  It was fun hanging out with them!

All in all, this weekend was difficult but God's provision in allowing us some down time with friends was wonderful.  It was great to see my sister Hannah too, who flew in from Galveston for the weekend.  We are trusting God's timing and will in Mimi's life, and would love any prayers for that.  God is in control and my trust is in Him-- now and always.
